I often find myself daydreaming about buying a massive plot of land somewhere. Something with good hunting in a state with favorable politics and adjacent to a national forest. But where? Utah? Idaho? Texas?

Where would you guys stake a claim, and what would you use the land for?

Texas would be where I'd buy, but only bc I'm from there. Looked at some property over Christmas. Just need to figure out exactly what I want to do with it. Family place? Strictly a hunting camp? etc.
Is it the kind of land animals naturally inhabit? Or do you have to cultivate it with food plots? Or a little of both?

Northern Minnesota far away from Tim Walz. Not kidding, looking for a few acres in the north woods near good lakes and Nat. Forests. Prices have tripled in last three years. In 2022-23 I could pick up for 1000$ per acre and now anywhere between 3-5k per acre.

Just follow wherever Nancy Pelosi is buying land and stocks
I day trade as a hobby and followed Congressional trades for a while; know what these fuckers are doing? Their biggest $$ is in shorts. Red flags for True insider trading shit; whose business is about to bite it, AND shorts profits are still income tax free.

Let's set up a private FE cooperative for hunts, Rec, ATV, Horse riding shit.

I've always wanted to check out Boundary Waters. I imagine that's kinda like what you're talking about.

I’m not, but maybe I should. Usually put in for spring turkey and St. Vincent Sambar. I travel to Indiana to deer hunt on private land. I can’t take FL deer seriously after growing up hunting in Indiana.
I'd love to hunt deer in Florida, just for the experience. It's a goal of mine to try out every region. I'm in SoCal, and surprisingly, it's a great area to hunt bear. The tag is over-the-counter, and we have some big ones. Here's one I got in October 2024, Boone and Crockett, only 2.5 hours from LA (depending on traffic).
