I love them, and the orange, I already own two, and their VIdAAR, and their tripod, but if my fealty is at reputational risk, fuck, I’ll add another. The orange is awesome having lost one in the field when on the run.

for me personally the times id use a bipod I use a tripod for already. As most of my hunts are from elevated stands, and if not my tripod setup is super light.

Generally hunting out of a stand with a window rest, otherwise I have shot off a tripod and would go that way instead of a bipod.

I have the Arca quick connect rail on all my long range guns so I did'nt give it a second look after I saw the mount in the first picture. I use a couple of atlas bipods that connect easy for me and they are all in the $250-$300 range depending on ease of adjustments. Hope that helps. see below

No fealty is at risk. This thread wasn’t to get more bipods sold, it was to find out why they’re not selling. My assumption was that most non-western hunters don’t have much of a need for them.

Seems like plenty of people are using Harris- which was the gold standard for a long time. It also sounds like those people are not hiking with their Harris.

Spartan’s ultralight bipods seem to just require several funnels for hunters to have the need for them.

To me, the selling points are clear:

Light weight

Fastest attach on the market, even faster than an ARCA rail

Easier to extend than Atlas and Harris with one hand

Smaller footprint for pocket or holder than Atlas or Harris

Orange is actually a smart move, try walking your ONX pin to find one sometime, highly instructive

But yes, all that said @Jason Vincent the hunting profile is probably the market restrictor - Western, Africa, those favor the Spartan in my opinion

Our Spartan Precision bipods are slow movers in the store. I want feedback from The Society so I can figure out why. The quality is there. The practicality is there (I’ve killed out to 1276yds off the Spartan Javelin). They’re orange so they’re visible in the field if you drop them. They’re light enough that it’s not even a decision as to whether I’m going to pack it for my trip.

So what is it? Is the bipod market just small because most US big game hunters are hunting from elevated stands? Is it the price? Are you guys buying a competing product? Anything else?

Sound off below!
Never been a bipod user, hunting in the UP is in thick woods so long shots are 150 yards, or across a field from a blind. I'll have a look though, just in case I might need one!

I’ve used Harris bipods for 20ish years at this point and have been wanting to modernize to arca and tripods- I’ve definitely been close to pulling the trigger on this a few times but the use case I have for orange is pretty limited. I’d just camo tape it up most of the time.

I went back and forth between this one and the tricer. It’s been awhile but I believe the final choice was based on height adjustment. I wanted one that was a bit taller. Not sure if Spartan has an adapter that would let me run either one based on country I’m hunting. I wanted the weight of the Spartan and the height adjustment of the tricer, ended up going with tricer. I do have the Springbok and am very happy with it, so I know the quality is there.

Have had the Magpul bipod a good while. Less feature-rich, but not so much less that it justifies the cost to upgrade. Something like that, I want to physically hold it and check it out.

I have 2 javeline bipods already (received the pro hunt tac for Christmas and still unused) if you are willing to swap them I'd gladly sport the FE brand orange in the field in NW MT.

For anyone on the fence with these bipods they are worth the money! The adjustable cant and swivel (or locked out depending on which way you place it) are next level. Plus they disconnect easily and can store in a pouch on your bino harness or pack. Don't be a cunt, buy em!
