Work Bag / Briefcase Recommendation?

Started a new job a couple months ago that involves frequent trips to government buildings, which means having to go through security and metal detectors. Looking for some recommendations for messenger bag-style briefcase bags that are quicker to get a laptop in/out of for the scanners and looks a little more professional than my current Yeti backpack.

Doesn’t need to be real big, most days I’m just carrying a few folders, a laptop/charger, and a notebook.

Yes depending on what look you want to go with Amabilis gear are decent bag I’ve got a responder ruck their bags are military grade tarpaulin, has travelled well with me over the last few years, they do a tactical tote bag which might work for you.

I use a Filson 24-Hour briefcase, it replaced a generic leather messenger bag that wore out two years ago. I've been really happy with it, but I only take my computer home 4-5 days a month.
