That was my first FE magazine. I like it overall. Writing feels like casual personal conversation. Simple, straight to point. No need long fancy words to make article bigger.
I understand FE is refined maybe proper word is “luxury society of hunters and outdoorsmen.” Only thing I don’t understand magazine advertise low-quality products like Taurus, CZ, Springfield. Or $20 is $20, no matter?

Not sure why you think Taurus or Springfield are low-quality. I have one of each and they're great pistols

They are. Unfortunately, there is no organization that publishes comprehensive return or RMA data for firearm manufacturers, and the manufacturers themselves do not release those numbers. Based on informal comparisons from a gun shops including guns sent for RMA, traded in because of problems, or sold back to the store due to issues the general pattern looks like. Highest Taurus / Canik / Tisas. Middle Springfield . Lowest major manufacturers such as Glock, Smith & Wesson and SIG Sauer.
Also Taurus customer service can be very hard to reach. Because of that, some owners end up going back to the dealer as a last resort to handle problems.

Surviving white hell- it was an incredible story to read. I’ve always been interested in experiences that stack all the odds against humanity and yet they live to tell the tail. The extremes of remote wilderness naturally want you dead and yet humanity comes back for more.

I just finished it - it’s my 2nd issue and my first I burned through in a couple days… and then sat around waiting for this one. So I slow rolled it. Loved it. As with most, I’m curious who the 2 burnt bridges are - not a fan of supporting that mentality. The gear section towards the middle is a favorite of mine - expanding that by a couple pages would be awesome.
