So, listen… I don’t know if the feature was available on Android at the time or not, but I had just upgraded my iPhone to a 15 Pro Max the week before my family went on vacation to Asheville, NC the last full week of September in 2024. (Y’all might remember a little storm that hit there that week?) But when the cell towers went down, I was able to connect to satellites to get non-picture text messages back home to a State Trooper buddy who was able to send me realtime traffic updates and get us directions home when the whole fucking world down there was falling apart. The way I understood it was that feature was 1.) new for those models that year, and 2.) still being Beta tested and I got lucky. But it seriously was one of the only things (other than some general preparedness stuff I do when we go on vacations) that got my family home safely.

Ok. That's valid.

Don't tell the rest of the FE crew I conceded to Safety First and an Apple positive.

Speaking of Andrioid. My phone is giving me random errors when I try to open the app. Anybody else?
I don't think it's just Android; not in the FE apps, or even apps at all, when trying to just LOOK at a website (GunBroker for example) I get this Fd up message about " there were multiple problems...." even though you'll get a millisecond flash view of said website. iPhone Xr for about 6 years now, MUCH easier to peruse PH until lately.....YMMV...

What errors are you getting?
I get a pop up that states I need to install Google and then a security error. If it is a user error, I can chat about this offline. But I wanted to mention it in case it is a system error.
