I have a Ruger Hawkeye in .223 that I’ve used for the last 20 years that’s never let me down. Stainless steel barrel & action with composite stock. It accompanied me when was I running traps for beaver and nutria in less than favorable weather. Acquired a 17 Remington Fireball recently, barrel burner of a round but it’s best suited for smaller varmits. It’s a Model 700 with fluted bull barrel.

I bought a Mossberg MVP a few years ago when I was in CA. They take AR mags which is cool but they’re a bolt action set up. I believe MVP stands for Mossberg Varmint and Predator. Chambered in 5.56mm.
I was thinking this or a CZ600 Trail would be cool too
