I originally saw this revolver on the S&W website as I was trolling for a new carry piece. So it all started. I am new here but there is always a Howie story. My father carried a 50's 36 Chiefs special that he bobbed the hammer on with a hacksaw and a file, always in the front pocket in a Bianchi Suede Holster. the diamond service grips were on it were pretty much smooth as it went everywhere with him. I saw this one loved the configuration so I pulled the trigger so to speak. Yes, this will be carried, I got it yesterday and shot it , the trigger will break in nice (i may give it a little help also) Thanks for the special model 36 .
That buckle was made in the 60''s at S&W in Springfield by a Smith there, it was a gift from a MA state trooper who was the model for S&W's Magazine ad's
