Gallensons had 8 stainless rifles left. Obviously the black was a much faster seller.

We had a chat with them and they sent the stainless barreled actions out and hand them Cerakoted black. So, now you guys get the black look with the added corrosion resistance of stainless steel under the coating -making these the best of the collab.

Go get one. I love mine. With the over the barrel Dead Air, it’s one of the handiest rifles in the stable. 1/2” accuracy.

I’ve been actively searching for a clean Safari/Astro for the past 6 months and they are hard to find not completely trashed. This would be way cooler than the Odyssey my wife currently drives.
The engines in them sucked. Of If I remember correctly they loved to blow head gaskets.

Can’t say I have ever had a problem with a GM 4.3 V6 but I’ve never owned one of these particular vans. Could have been due to cooling issues because the engine sits so far up under the cowl.

I believe that was the issue. I worked at a salvage yard years ago and remember getting these in for similar engine problems Always thought it would have been fun to modify one. I think some of the safaris came with a manual transmission if I remember correctly.
