I’m planning a trip to hunt in Texas and will be taking an SBR. We are going to drive this trip and will be crossing state lines. I’ve read there is a restriction on cross state travel with a SBR. Has anyone encountered this? Has this been resolved with the new laws?

You need to submit an ATF5320. I usually get them back within 14-40 days…submit early and often, even if plans fall through put extra days or weeks on it.
I assume it’s an 8.6 fix, I bought a 16” barrel just for those short notice hunt trips.

This! I did the same. Barrels are back in stock now at Q and Piece of Mind. I’m sure others too.
