This was my rig up to a few months ago. 2020 4Runner TRD Offroad. AluCab RTT, 170W Solor panel on top, FrontRunner Roof Rack with full out tables. 23Zero Canopy, Snomaster 60l inside.

Recently traded this for a Land Cruiser and haven't built it out yet.

How you liking the Land Cruiser? LC250 I assume? Picked one up for the wife a few months ago and she loves it. I couldn’t keep it stock for long so I threw on some 17” RRW’s and Toyos for now. Dobinsons Suspension likely at some point this year…

I’m loving it. It’s such a comfortable ride. The 4Runner was great and a huge step up from my Tacoma. But this is just better. And yes it’s the LC250 1958? Or what ever it’s called.
I’m going a different route with this build I think and going to build out the inside more maybe just throw my awning on the roof and some solar panels on the roof rack. I have an idea in mind. This would let me keep it looking more inconspicuous and allow me to use city parking lots. And less gas hahaha. And also camp pretty much anywhere I want.

‘92 Toyota Pickup I recently acquired after my grandpa passed away earlier last year. 172k original easy miles since he bought new in 92. Going to put some new shocks and maybe a bed topper on it for now but it runs well. View attachment 1115

Daily is a raptor and for when the hunting/fishing trips are a little too far for the Toyota.

That '92 is so cool. Sorry for your loss of your grandpa.

'23 Tacoma Trail Special Edition with Falken Wildpeak A/T4Ws. Don't have the Uncle T budget at the moment but am thinking of upgrading to Bilstein 6112s up front and 5100 in the back.

Anyone have a 4x4 shop you'd recommend in Nashville? Have gotten quotes from Music City 4x4 and Outlaw Offroad.

We're twinning! I was on the fence with the 6100 vs the 8100's but a couple sundowners convinced me to go for the 8100's as its a new truck and I'll have it for a while. Keep me posted on your setup, finally got all me shocks and will get my Tacoma setup soon.

I’m still in my ‘13 Tundra. Have looked at the new ones and just don’t dig them.
Thought about the Tacoma but feels a little small for me after running Tundras since 2006.

Since we’ve got three girls (ages 8-4), we decided about five years ago to bump up our vehicle size to a third-row SUV and bought a brand new Subaru Ascent Touring edition. We ran it all over, beach to the mountains, and remote campsites in between.

Two years ago my wife hit a whitetail doe on the way to drop the kids off at school/daycare and we lost it to a vehicle fire (which Subaru said was “totally fine, you walked away, the vehicle was functioning as intended when the accident happened, we’ll give you $2k towards a new one…”). Wife and girls (and our new puppy) all got out safely, which I guess Subaru gets to add to their “they survived” statistic.

Needing a quick replacement, we ended up with a 2019 Audi Q7. While it had some technology quirks, we liked it well enough. It’s the vehicle we were driving when we “escaped” from Ashville, NC after the hurricane hit. It handled some “roads” that I would swear were coyote trails between Mexico and Arizona. Ironically one of the roads we used to get home from that trip was the “Tail of the Dragon,” and I got this picture. “Have tomahawk, will travel.”

Late last year we upgraded to a 2024 Q7 55 TFSI Quattro. The V6 upgrade has been super nice in the mountains and getting around big and/or slow vehicles on the interstate. It came with the tow package already installed (7,000lb) and we added roof racks. Can’t wait to take it camping come spring.
