Leaf pack is on the short list, I'm leaning towards a new leaf pack instead of the add a leafs. I'de herd good things on Deaver and ICON RXTs. How much weight do you typically have in the back?
Weight I carry varies a lot depending on trip. But for daily drive I have nothing. The Deaver Stage 2 is the best middle ground to be able to actually load it up but also have a drivable daily truck. I do need it to be able to "work" too.20200914_164026.jpg

Another suggestion, depending on your tire size and how much highway vs. off-roading you will do.... A re-gear is worth considering.... I haver the Nitro Gears 5.29 in my differential, it makes a big difference with the 37's im running....

I'm currently tits deep on my tacoma build. Put 8100's front and rear and love em so far. Did a pretty good amount of cutting and welding on the cab mounts and firewall to get 35's on without any rubbing up front. Next step is some high clearance front and rear bumpers cause I get some rubbing in the rear when fully compressed. I also removed my back seats and built a plywood shelf for additional storage and my dog crate. 210,000 miles on this thing and still upgrading it.

What amount of lift did you end up with on the 8100’s? Still waiting on my rears so I can do the install. I put lots of Highway miles so I’m keeping the 265/70/16’s for now, maybe 285’s in the future but that’s about as big as I want to go.

Just picked up this used cap for a short term solution. Overall good condition but the paint has some bubbles and chips. I have access and help to sand and repaint. I’m leaning towards matte black, what do you guys think for color? IMG_6084.jpeg

I'd say it was about 2 1/2" out of the box. I did go back afterwards though and I replaced the springs with the B12 special coil spring that I found on this site called mudify. They're a little heavier weight spring which I was okay with cause I've got a steel front bumper and am looking to add some lighting and possibly a winch to it also. After that heavier spring and cranking on the lock ring as hard as I could I got a little over 3" out of them. The ride on road stiffened up a little bit, but off road its awesome.

Instead of sanding and repainting, have you considered using a matte black wrap? It may not make sense to wrap from a cost standpoint though since it sounds like you will be doing all of the labor yourself.

It's not a Tacoma, but my Colorado is the same size. It's my daily driver, my vacation, and I still use it for truck stuff too. I only went with a 2" lift and 32" tires. The Go Fast Camper has been a game-changer for hunting and camping. Get one.

You can fit 33" in the skinny version like the Coopers 255/85/16 on stock wheels and without needing cab mount chop if you need some more clearance. I ran those for years before moving to 285/75/16 and then had to get off set wheels and do CMC to fit with no rub.

The Colorado was on my list behind the Tacoma. My buddy has a GFC on his rig and it’s like a mobile office.

You can't go wrong with Matte Black.
Are you planning on installing any rooftop storage or roof racks?

If so, I'd paint the cap flat white - I think that would look sweet with matte black rooftop storage and racks. Especially if you're running matte black front / back bumpers too.

Here's a little render of it in White.

I just put one of these Roam boxes over my bed, attached to my Billie rack. This is the 128L case, I used there mounts which easily attached to the rack using Billie’s hardware. I also got the organizer that attaches to the inside of the top of the case.
