Shit, @gelhaargerald reminded me about Jamaica, and the Bahamas - there is a lot about each I tried to forget through deep alcohol therapy while there, and keep trying through any means, so make mine 38.

I’m not counting “territories” like Bermuda, or Grand Cayman, in my number, again officially, as they are part of the UK. I’d add the six counties sometimes referred to as Northern Ireland in that non-counted territory list, someday we will take that back to its rightful state, fucking British bastards!

Ditto here, reminded me about a few....I did a location count and came up with 45 countries but that includes Hong Kong, Cayman Islands, Aruba, Bahamas....probably a couple more in my list that some other country claims as a territory. The former colonies
of those "nasty" 15th to 17th century invading Western Europeans makes this list count problematic.

Did you allegedly not hunt Jamaica.

I think I have been to 9 countries but they are all warm drink fruity drink kind besides our neighbors to the north. Like I mentioned headed to Italy next year so a lot will change.

@gelhaargerald - there is a lot of “alleged” on this old frame, prior life stuff, but I was not on the true “alleged” Jamaica hunt, sadly.

My first and last time there was with a girlfriend from the far past. Reflecting on that trip, I lightly brushed the shoulders of death a few times: an errant golf shot at the Royal Jamaica Country Club put me in the bush and my caddy and I at gunpoint, but I negotiated my way out of that one, buying dope from the grower I didn’t want or need but it made good currency around the resort later; a dive to 120 feet with gear that pre-dated Cousteau was probably ill advised; a long ocean ski towed by two dudes higher and crazier than a Red Bull adventure was the pinnacle - many miles offshore after miles of skiing, I just couldn’t hang on, and those two had no idea I had fallen, oddly they eventually figured it out and came back to find me, and shockingly did, after a good 40+ minutes adrift alone - @Terry Houin is probably saying “man up Godfather” right now as that would be a warm up swim for our Nation’s finest.

The whole beads for drinks thing was sort of entertaining, as were the plentiful boobs in a topless place.

One of my last professional roles prior to current had me as the “Chief Global Officer” for a large firm, I was in essence like a SecState going around the world negotiating deals, incorporating / acquiring sub partnerships in to the mothership, managing prior investments, building capabilities to serve clients in new places, etc., had about 45k people reporting to me, chaotic chapter in life and brutal millions of miles in the air a year. That’s where a solid third or more of my country visits comes from, and interestingly a similar proportion of at gunpoint moments now that I think about it.

Remember, no matter the dirt or mud or blood under your boots, it’s better than having it on top of them, and any day we finish, means one to start next, which means more fuckery and adventure to enjoy.

I think I’m at 12 countries. I was born in northern Mexico (aka Southern California), so getting down to TJ was always pretty easy.

Got to spend a few weeks in Europe over a birthday in 2019 right after the Notre Dame caught on fire. Had a guy try to steel my shoes off my feet while I was sleeping on a train between Krakow and Berlin.

A couple missions trips to the Philippines were always incredible, too.

On US States, I’m at 48, ironically I have the Dakotas still to go - things to look forward to in life. What is good to un-alive there?
In ND for non resident pretty much leaves you with turkey, upland and waterfowl hunting. If your a bow hunter then mule and whitetail deer is possible. Also predator and varmint hunting here in ND.
SD deer and antelope on draw system are possible. Wild turkey, upland and waterfowl hunting

Like @Godfather I'm not counting territories or any of the little islands (like Diego Garcia, Vanuatu, etc.).
That being said I'm not the world traveler that many of you are, LoL 🤣 but I'm at an even 20.
I have been to all 50 States, and I've been to every National Park in the Lower 48 States except the new parks and national monuments that were created after 2016... (That was a bucket list thing for me to every year travel around the US hitting different national parks).
Now that I'm retired I pretty much only travel out of the country for recreational purposes. Actually come to think of it, I only travel anywhere nowadays for recreational purposes, LoL 😂.
