A bunch of different "adventures"... many of them work related... just as many recreationally. Here are a few:

Mirror Image Counter Terrorism School - back in my undercover ponytail days - we lived, ate, prayed, dressed, read the Quran, built IED's and used the same weapons as the Islamic Extremist Terrorists we were hunting. We spent two weeks immersed in the culture.

FRIES and HRST ops... up until it became legal here in WA, we used to get inserted via FRIES into various National Forests (usually around the Yakima Reservation) for huge wilderness marijuana grow ops, often these had booby traps and trip wire setups.

JEST School - Snake eaters! the training itself was an adventure...

Taking the horses through Washington's Indian Heaven Wilderness, living off the land (berries, fish, grouse, plants), excellent adventure!

The kiddos and I spending a week in the backcountry of the Colockum Wildlife Area... 30 miles away from anything and anyone... we didn't see another person the whole week, epic father/sons' quality time.

MP5 Flames - this was a live hostage rescue op... the perp set fire to the home and was holding family members at gun point, we had to make entry. I was the team leader, and, in the pic, you can see my call sign on the back of my helmet "C-151". This is a still photo, but in reality, it was a dynamic entry.

Hostile Boarding/Maritime Ship Interdiction (vessel underway) - After the events of 9-11, the intelligence community believed that WA State's "super ferries" would be the next big target, one ferry carries as many people as died in the twin towers... we spent a lot of time fast roping, Air-Tep insertion, and vessel to vessel boarding ferries, container ships, you name it. Always an adventure. (the last pic of us hanging beneath the helo is on an Air-Tep platform...

So many adventures, and so many more... hard to choose 😂

If it weren't for the boots, that group of shaven head white boys would easily pass for middle easterners. 😂 And the one 1960's motorcycle hippie thrown in for good measure!

That's an awesome collection of "adventures", I can see why it's a hard choice!

These are two of my favorites. First, a quail hunt near Warner Springs

And this one taken on Pismo Beach on Veterans' Day, 2017

I have too much. I spent 5 years as a Jarhead combat photographer. Got to do a lot of badass stuff and take pictures of it.

First photo was my first photo assignment. Took photos of hurricane relief, then stayed the night in St. Croix. I was given complimentary Cruzan rum when we landed and stayed in a beachfront hotel. Woke up the next morning and watched the sun rise on the beach and replaced my morning coffee with rum.

Second photo was taken at Mount Fuji, Japan, while attached to an artillery unit. We were doing patrol exercises. While everyone was in training mode, my buddy and I were searching for Sika sheds. I got lucky, and shoved that thing in my pack and took it home with me.

The rest are some of my favorite still photos I took along the way. Best job I ever had. I now work in the outdoor industry and the photos of my adventures are still growing.

If you're reading this and you're still enlisted - take the boot moto pic with your boys. Take as much as you can.
