I found a local class that included Stop The Bleed, C-TECC Active Bystander, CPR/AED, 8hrs in total. Situation role playing, lots of TQ practice, wound packing, etc etc.

Took the wife. She carries an IFAK and TQ in her purse now.

There are dangerous things in our house, God forbid an accident or mistake happens much less something out in the world.

@gelhaargerald I have been curious about the same thing. That could be a cool element to a trip or even a You Tube series.

What do you think @Tony Caggiano @Terry Houin @Christian Craighead ?
The thing with learning or teaching first aid is you need time. Its not a show you once and you're good kind of thing, you need reps to learn it and remember the basics.

A video series would be beneficial for guys to watch a few times before a hunting trip or building out a first aid kit for their truck. Learning how to stuff a wound or place a tourniquet with a buddy can be repeted via video as well.

I can add it to the long list of ideas, maybe we can find a real medic that we can pass this off to.

Dark Angel Medical does great classes all over the country. Highly recommended. In San Diego we have a company that does a two day class which includes camping over night. I plan on doing that in the near future.

On the issues of reps, I have a practice TQ on my desk in a case. Every so often, I'll notice it and say something like, "Bleeder, left calf" and grab it and see how quickly I can get it applied. The hardest for me is my right (dominant) arm.
