New Mexico Drawn Hunts

Hey Gang - I got pretty lucky this year and drew 2 non-resident tags for the New Mexico drawing.

I won tags for Unit 51 for an Elk and Unit 45 for Mule Deer. Anyone have any experience hunting up in northern NM? My best friend who is a big hunter lives in Santa Fe and he's coming with. But figured I'd run it by here.

Congratulations! I don't have any experience in New Mexico, but wanted to congratulate you! I drew an archery special permit in the Missouri River breaks of Montana..

I’ll be hunting east of you but don’t know much about the area to be honest.

Congrats guys. I hunt every year muzzleloader in the southern part of NM which is vastly different in cover. You will have a great time. Get high is all I can say. Much of the area is covered in pinion up that way and they can be right next to you and you never know it.
