Looking for some hearing protection, not wanting to break the bank. Not against a few hundred bucks a pop maybe?

Generally, not a fan of over the ear, but open to either in-ear or over the ear?

I used the HSA account and bought TETRA Hearing in ear pro. They were pricey but work really well. Takes some getting used to while bird hunting but they are the only ones I’ve stuck with using.

Bourbon can be allocated accordingly for an inside track on one of these, because we needs it...

Looking for new grips for the Taurus .38 I recently acquired. One of my all time favorite Hollywood guns was the small 1911 Pacino carried in Heat; all black with ivory grips….killer.

Trying to decide between these two grips; both from Altamont …what say you

They call it “bonded ivory” and they only cost $53 so I assume they are ivory
Micarta or something of that nature. Their site doesn’t give any info on what it actually is made of

Bonded ivory is s synthetic material, usually mixed with powdered bone to mimic the feel of actual ivory

The SoundGear Shield plugs are awesome! We used them extensively on some hunts and I was shocked at how comfortable they were because I just forgot to take them out. Unless you had a beanie directly touching the units, everything sounded so natural and you would forget you had them in. With the beanie rubbing against it you would get some static.

I love this gun. Expect it to be somewhere from $5k-$7k depending on if you want synthetic vs. wood and with or without the can. Some of those details are still being worked out. Originally the plan was to see these in the states by the summer but I’m guessing it will be closer to fall.

I like having a little texture on my grips so I would default to the wood simply for that differentiator.

But also… looks win gunfights so go with the ivory.

300PRC is a hammer. Definitely go with the 300 if you're equally comfortable with all of them. No such thing as overkill. Ultimately you should pick whatever you're most confident with.
