What’s up, everyone. I’m Michael and I’m another one trying to hold down the fort on the West Coast. Before everyone gets out the pitchforks, I have to make it clear that I’m not from LA or the Bay. I was born, raised, and after temporarily leaving to AZ and SoCal for school, still reside in Bakersfield; the land of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, Korn, Rick Mears, and Kevin Harvick. We (Kern County) are a top 3 producing ag county in the US, and used to be the Country’s no. 1 oil county until Newsome showed up, if that tells you anything. As consistently the most red county in the state, we are the bane of his existence and he punishes us accordingly.

Like everyone who’s been here for multiple generations, my family pretty much all came West from Oklahoma (other than the 1/4 from Italy). As most others in the more rural parts of the state, I love hunting, fishing, snowboarding, riding horses, domestic light beers, and just about anything else outside. I’ve been on the FE bandwagon since 2020/2021, while still in college. It has really influenced my lifestyle since, giving me great experiences and information, while causing me to spend money on things I not only didn’t know I needed, but didn’t know existed. I went on the hosted outrider safari 3.0 and it was the absolute trip of a lifetime. Not just because of how amazing the place and hunting was, but because of the awesome group of guys I met that I still talk to on a weekly (at least) basis. FE has shown me that the world I dreamt of as a kid can still be found out there if you know where to look, and also that there’s a lot of other cowboys and pirates out there searching for that same thing.

It’s a pleasure joining you all here. I look forward to all the content. Not all of us Californians are too bad. You just have to get out of the places Hollywood tells you to go. It’s a state that’s worth trying to save.

Cheers!
