I just changed mine to actual name. It was pretty easy under settings. Now we knowI dig it. As we've discussed internally, I'd like to see Member names. At least their first name and not their FE Journal subsriber email. Remind me... is the name change up to the Member to change in their Account settings after we have vetted them for not being PETA or a Chinese spy?
I was able to change my name shortly after joining. Obviously, I didn't use my name as I usually (on the interwebs at least) go by my Marine Corps nickname. Would people prefer we use our actual names?I dig it. As we've discussed internally, I'd like to see Member names. At least their first name and not their FE Journal subsriber email. I changed mine as well, and as a guy that hunt and pecks with my index finger because I don't know how to type, and who's basically technologically illiterate, if I can do it anyone can!I just changed mine to actual name. It was pretty easy under settings. Now we know

Thank you for this! Having been really more raised by my marine corps grandpa (who passed 4 years ago 1.22.22) and my aunt and uncle who are retired LEO, I’ve struggled to find a group I feel like I can relate to—thankful for this forum and really enjoy all the conversations. Look forward to it daily. He had 3 boys then 5 grandsons, then me. Dialoguing on here makes me feel like he’s still around.I was able to change my name shortly after joining. In terms of the forum, I really enjoy it. The problem with so many other forums is there always seems to be someone or somebodies who think hunting is bad, or drinking is bad, or having fun is bad. We all get it here.
I also really appreciate the women of FES because they are all engaging with us troglodytes and giving as good as they get. It's nice to know there are women who also enjoy the finer things in life.
I mean... Yeti's cool. Or is it YETI, an acronym? And what are your pronouns? They / them? He, she or it? It honestly was never clear to me as a kid if Bumble in Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer was a... I don't know what the fuck... even Google refers to it as an abominable snow monster...I was able to change my name shortly after joining. Short version of the story: I was at Mountain Warfare School. One morning, one of the instructors yelled out my name. I was shaving, shirtless, behind a snow drift about 5' away. I stood up quickly, as you do when an instructor screams your name in the Marines, and yelled out "Here Sergeant!!" It startled him and he blurted out, "Goddamn, you're all big and white and hairy like a motherfucking Yeti! From now on you are Lance Corporal Yeti!!" I'm 6'3" and Scottish white, but I don't think I'm really that hairy but the nickname stuckI mean... Yeti's cool. Or is it YETI, an acronym? And what are your pronouns? They / them? He, she or it? As a U.S.M.C. veteran - thank you for your service.
As the nickname implies, you're probably 8 feet tall and built like a brick shit house. Don't kick my ass if we ever meet.
I've been giving this some more thoughtWe've been at this Society thing for a couple months now and I'm curious — what are your thoughts so far? What do you love? What do you want to see more of? Where are we missing an opportunity? What would you tell a buddy who asks what FE Society is?
TIA.
Copy that Lance Corporal Yeti.Short version of the story: I was at Mountain Warfare School. One morning, one of the instructors yelled out my name. And, thank you for your service!
All of you at FE are providing a service to our country!Copy that Lance Corporal Yeti.
My service? I didn't serve. Wish I did. I'm just one of Jason's cunts and an FE Outrider paisan.
Ahhh, I misread that. Well, thank you for your service as one of Jason's cuntsCopy that Lance Corporal Yeti.

I totally second this! I really enjoy the interviews tooI've been giving this some more thought.. one thing that I love and look forward to in your printed mag are the interview questions of each author at the end of each article. They're fun, silly and tell you a little more about the person.
I think that maybe it would be a good idea to add a page or a thread in which you all pick the FE Society's Most Interesting Man (or woman!) of the month and conduct a similar interview of an FE Society member or staff member. One thing I love is the amount of interesting people with unique experiences in the society. I think that it would be cool to learn more about them! Something like the old World's Most Interesting Man commercials, etc...
That or you could do an FE Swimsuit edition like SI![]()
It'd be cool to upload short videos. We've been at this Society thing for a couple months now and I'm curious — what are your thoughts so far? What do you love? What do you want to see more of? Where are we missing an opportunity? What would you tell a buddy who asks what FE Society is?
