I dig it. As we've discussed internally, I'd like to see Member names. At least their first name and not their FE Journal subsriber email. Remind me... is the name change up to the Member to change in their Account settings after we have vetted them for not being PETA or a Chinese spy?
Dude, the Chinese pay good money for spies. Don't overlook it. PETA, on the other hand, they're pretty cheap.

We've been at this Society thing for a couple months now and I'm curious — what are your thoughts so far? What do you love? What do you want to see more of? Where are we missing an opportunity? What would you tell a buddy who asks what FE Society is?

TIA.
Only thing I've noticed is I keep less of an eye on the main site now. Maybe throw a tiny corner at the top for the article posted every day.

Define "good moderation," anonymous man with a squirrel head.
Let stuff develop in a thread without getting ones underwear in a bind. Gotta keep the racism/sexism/poltics/religion/abortion/sexual preferences from spiraling into some pit of hate. That being said, I grew up on Minnesota's Iron Range and making fun of ones ethnicity was high sport, I am probably going to piss off a woman or 3, I am slowly becoming a Libertarian with a hard conservative bent, I am an evangelical that likes beer, I am prolife, I like females, a lot, anything else is uninteresting to me, some of it is disturbing.

Last major forum I was on had a rules page, don't cross this line and you will not be moderated. Dan Johnson was one of the moderators until he passed, he said if you are not getting moderated, you are not posting enough.

FE Society beats the hell out of mainstream social media. It is great to have an online community of like-minded individuals from a variety of backgrounds with broad but similar interests all in one place. Everyone is intelligent, decent, and respectful; it's a good community. Possible missed opportunities...nothing obvious to me; but strong, steady, organic, community growth can take time. Maybe "member only" online "events/competitions"...which might create a little FOMO among the right crowd when their member buddies tell them what is going on over at FE Society. I do like Shifty's idea of interviewing members of the forum, that would be cool too. My buddies...I've told my buddies to check it out and get onboard...one can lead a horse to water, but making said horse drink...that is precisely why I ride a motorcycle.... ;)

Can Society members crowd fund FE to make cool stuff?

My first proposal is a Go Bag of Gentlemenly Warefare. I'm talking elephant leather, gold plated knives, and whiskey glasses. Throw in silencers, revolvers, and brass knuckles.

I want a James Bond style bag that Pablo Escobar's mistress designed. You know?

Also, @Mike Schoby said he wants to design a safari shirt called the "Non Metro-Homo" or something. Ask him.

Done right: Opening this can of beautiful worms. When you ask for our advice on content/clothing/collabs and THEN include us on the buy.....Holy wow, and Thank You for the unapologetic allowances per prayer and spirituality and God.

Done wrong: I don't think there's any wrong, that we feral relics of the 70s and 80s don't see as glorious imperfections.

Do Better: Just stay the course of goals already set. Your Team seems to be in tune with being reasonable and professional while having a great time. IMHO, having met none of the Staff YET, and only hearing 2nd hand from people in the shoot/hunt/guns "industry" (Sundles) FE is the underground Way.

Pass down: I literally just give my old issues away to guys, and wait for their feedback, plant the seeds with a little water. Been a hard copy Sub since way back because Don Jr was mentioned in the MSM somewhere as a safari brat, so naturally I just was attracted.

Question: How much do YOU want to grow and how can we help?
We want Society to grow significantly over the coming months, years. FE started with the objective to bring back the forgotten lifestyle, and real community is central to that lifestyle.

We [eagerly] look forward to the day when Meta no longer has a monopoly on online connection, and if/when that day comes, our hope is that Society is the place where our journal readers can find meaningful community.

We are actively working on implementing a very cool referral reward system for Society members as a way to say thank you if/when you refer new members. I expect to have it up and running by mid-march at the absolute latest.

I was just wondering if there was a way to implement something like that! Can we please have negative points for members who refer people that turn out to be cunts?

Was out of the country for a year and had canned my subscription. Jumped back on today…this Society thing is a great fucking idea. Nice work, per usual, FE team. Glad to be back.

With the risk of laps being assigned: go check out the subscription model of The Golfer’s Journal. Variable level memberships, discounts on brands for members, solid packaging of quarterly mag. Might be a way to lessen the dependence on sponsors and ad buyers.

Just occurred to me on (2) levels here: We (our household) doesn't use Meta, wife just uses IG for some hobby matters, as they seem to be full of manure, but we honestly just refer people to such ventures as FE by word-of-mouth. Can FE do an FE S credit card, that has a "rewards" system in it, or is that way off into the weeds? Doesn't have to be a global "black card" but certainly could be? Perhaps it already exists or is n the works? Either way, Thank you for taking the time/energy in surveying the troglodytes who can't spell such $100 words!
