Anybody here have experience with the Leupold Delta Micro red dots? Had an RMRcc to put on my Hellcat but saw one of these and curious of their worth. It’s Leupold so I like that but not sure what their red dots are like?

It’s definitely a very different sight. I liked them a lot when they first came out but there are some more conventional options that tend to be more popular.

My favorite right now is still the ported Hellcat Pro, but I left that in Texas so I don’t have to check a gun each time I’m there. I need another one. Lately I’ve been carrying:
•Glock 43x with COA Aimpoint, Radian RamJet and Radian Magwell in a Blackpoint holster. Black Hills Honeybadger ammo.
•Smith & Wesson 340 M&P in the FE Ghost holster with, oddly, Black Hills .38 Wadcutters.
•Sig Sauer P210 Carry (discontinued) in a Blackpoint holster with Black Hills Honeybadgers.

That’s the rotation these days.
P210 for EDC? Love it. How do you carry it and what location? Thinking about carrying my old p225 from West Germany.

I’m only around 500rds or so through mine so it’s just now being broken in. It’s just kind of boringly reliable. Nothing super special other than it just works and it’s a suitable alternative to a G19. It’s kind of the perfect loaner gun, glove compartment gun, bathroom gun, etc.
I love the idea of the “guest” gun. Either the RXM or the Rost Martin RM1C are excellent choices.

Treat others as you would like to be treated. Some of my best friends have “rental” cars and guns when I go visit them.

It's a rhetorical question because I know the answer is gonna be badass, but how amazing would the Aimpoint Acro with the Rhodesian Brush Stroke look on my Henry SPD CRUSR Field Ethos 45-70??

I’m 99% close to buying a Q Fix, and pairing it with a second barrel that I can swap for different uses. I plan on shooting both subs and supers, depending on what i’m hunting.

Though, i’m stuck on choosing a between a 12” or 16” length for 8.6blk. Does the 4 inches effect performance that much? Pros/Cons? Thanks
Update: I’m now an owner of a .308 16” Fix! 🤙Planning on throwing on either a Maven RS1.2 2.5-15x44 or a Leupold Mark5HD 3.6-18x44.

Jason,
What are your thoughts on taking two rifles to Africa. I recently got the 8.6 Fix with 12" barrel & Leopold Mark 5HD 3x10 with the intent on using it in Africa (big bullets / close range / less chance in operator error). I also have my Waypoint 300 Win Mag w/ Leopold Mark 5HD 5x25. Great gun now that Terry helped me dope it in and passed on his shooting wisdom. My shots last year ranged from 100 yards out to 500+ yards. Traveled last year with my gun and really had no problems other than the customs guy in Joburg that held me up for a $100.00 (OK, well maybe I lost my boarding pass getting out of Port Elizabeth and the security people found a spent cartridge in my med bag but those are another story).

Oh my @Bubbles - my recollection of your exit from SA was so different:

- out of date permit
- spent and unspent rounds in your dob kit
- security man had a thing for you, said you were both old and cute
- broken seat on the Atlanta flight
- etc

It seemed far more like this than your recantation:

In either respect, I love you my brother, I’d hunt there or anywhere with you, and you know what’s coming next, you suck fo going the 2nd week….

Take all the guns, take all the ammo, go hunt like it was your last, and make it just your next!

Ok, I still have some trauma that I'm working through about my potential marriage to the man with the most cigarettes in the Johannesburg jail. Wish I could be there the first week but promised my girlfriends son I would be there for his graduation. Hopefully we will cross paths on the way my friend.

Still love you dearly @Bubbles

Your solve for the girlfriend is admirable.

I just can’t get the horror out of my head when the security guard smiled at you, with a toothy grin, and then winked at the rest of us and said he was taking you to a private room to “burst your bubble”.

The horror, the horror….

What tread is on the new Vellie's? Is it that soft synthetic crap or is it a hard Vibram style sole? The African version has no tread, which will injure me in MN 6 months out of the year, I am interested if the tread is built to last more than 3 months.

Sorry, edit to add, "FE Boot"
