These two are our first Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Freya and Emmet. Emmet was a gentle giant nicknamed "Horse." He was only ferocious if you came to our front door uninvited. Freya was an old soul and the smartest dog I've ever met and I've had Malinois. She would actually play tricks on Emmett and he could never figure it out. Sadly both crossed the Rainbow Bridge a few years ago.

These two are Griffin (the big boy) and Harper. Griffin was a rescue and was a "special" dog with deep-seated trust issues. He generally hated people, especially men, and God help anyone who got near my wife. He passed away last October. Harper is now 1.8 years old and has the best personality of a dog I have ever met. She has not met a person or dog she doesn't like!

Ridgebacks are my favorite dogs! Eventually I want a pair.
